           Mike Richmond

Mike was the third child of Harvey S. and Delcia R. Richmond. Harvey & Delcia traveled and sang with the Gospel Harmoniaires, as soon as Mike could, they would have him sing a song with them.

In the late 1970's, Mike sang with his brothers, they went by the Richmond Brothers. The Richmond Brothers came off the road to get married and start their families.

In 1984, Mike and his older brother, David, formed the Gospel Journeymen. The quartet traveled for fifteen years just about every weekend. The last recording was with Horizon Music in Ashville NC and was on the DAWN label. In 1999, the Quartet came off the road.

God has placed a burden on Mike’s heart. He wants God to use him anyway He can. “There is nothing better than a person being saved”. That’s it! Finding Christ, reaching souls, ministering to people. Doing what we are called to do.

Mike loves Southern Gospel music, his dad listened to the Blackwood Brothers, the Florida Boys, the Stamps, the Profits, and the list goes on and on.

In October 2002, Mike & his wife Pattie, formed Southern Revival. We want to bring a Spirit of Revival with us. Our churches are hurting, we want to be a part of that spiritual change God has in store for all of us.

          Pattie Richmond

Pattie was blessed to grow up in a family that loved God and loved to sing.

She met Mike Richmond at one of the family singings.  After dating for over a year they were married.  Pattie sang with both her family and Mike's family until Jon was born.  Later after Jen was born, Mike started the Gospel Journeymen Quartet and Pattie helped out by playing the piano in the early days and sang at different times through the years. After their move to South Carolina, Mike & Pattie formed a family group with Jen, their daughter, and David, Mike's brother.

Pattie loves to meet people and encourage them on their journey.  She is an anointed speaker and loves speaking at ladies’ events.  Pattie has also started writing and has a short story published in a book titled, "Refined By Fire."   Pattie's first book, "He Can Be Trusted" is now available at TatePublishing.com.

Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God and I will praise Him, my father's God and I will exalt Him.  Pattie has learned (and that's been a journey) that God gives her the strength and joy she needs everyday.

            Jen Hunt

Jen is the youngest child to Mike and Pattie.  Jen was married to Wes Hunt on August, 28, 2009.

Jen takes on many roles in our ministry from exercising her vocals on stage to completing various tasks in the office.  She has finished writing 12 songs which we have recorded.

It is her desire to seek God's continual guidance and direction in every aspect of her life.  Her goal is to never fall short of the path God has planned for her.

David Richmond

David is the second born of four boys.  Their mother sure had her hands full when they were all able to get around by themselves!  Gary, is the oldest, followed by David, then came Mike, and last but certainly not least came Jerry.  David started attending church just as soon as he came home from the hospital and he has been in church since.  He started singing in the choir when he was about 13.  David's dad Harvey, sang bass for a quartet. David wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and decided to sing bass also.  David couldn't say he was good then, but he was persistent.

When Harvey became ill with cancer and was unable to sing, David, very feebly, took his place in the quartet. His mom was also a member of the same quartet.  Although the passing of her husband hurt her deeply, she kept on singing and going back to the same places she and Harvey ministered.  David's mother sacrificed her feelings so that the quartet could continue on.

David has a strong heritage in Southern Gospel music.  To this day he still tries to sing as well as his dad.  In David's mind, his dad will always be the better singer.  According to David, maybe someday he will be good enough to walk in his father's shoes but until then, he will just keep on trying to sing and tell people the GREAT NEWS that JESUS LOVES and CARES for them.
